I’m sharing my wedding day and what vendors I used. I got married March 30, 2019 at Glenhaven Event Center in Farmington, MN. Hands down the best day of my life thus far! The venue was absolutely stunning that needed little to no decoration which was amazing! It is a barn/log cabin type venue and I am still raving over it!
Anyways, let’s begin! Note: all these vendors are located in Minnesota!
I’ll start with my husband and I’s outfits!
He is wearing a navy blue tux which includes an ivory undershirt, vest and jacket with a maroon tie! We rented these from The Wedding Shoppe located in St. Paul, MN. They were easy and great to work with and it went very smoothly!
My dress is from a&be Bridal located in Minneapolis, MN. There are several locations around the country! I LOVED them! My gal (Kristen) was fabulous to work with, made me feel super comfortable and put NO pressure on me! Highly recommend them! The designer of my gown and lace jacket was Rebecca Schoneveld. I ended up attaching the lace jacket to the gown so it would stay put! The belt is also from a&be Bridal but the designer is Untamed Petals!
I’m in love with these dresses! The color is spot on, exactly what I envisioned! The girls ordered them from Lulus. The dresses cost less than $80 and they were super high quality and comfortable which I was all about! Their shoes I just had them order a pair of Toms or Bobs in a shade of blue! I’m pretty sure there were all Navy! For jewelry they wore different shades of brass/bronze color and like boho themed!
Same as my husband’s! $165 to rent from The Wedding Shoppe.
Flower Girls/Ring Bearer Outfits
LOVED the flower girl dresses! They were a blush pink and ahhh so cute. They were lace and came with a cute burlap belt with a flower on it! I ordered them from Trish Scully! And the best part they were only $40!! The ring bearer, had free range to do whatever! SO CUTE!
Biggest struggle was finding someone to do hair and makeup! Being located in the cities, people book FAST! So if you are eyeing someone on doing your hair and makeup, reach out right away and book! I booked Hair by BK // @hair.by.bk (I will link her instagram so y’all can see her work)! She was so nice and down to earth and did a great job! Very reasonably priced and she was on top of things and VERY organized and responsive! My hair piece was made by a local company who did our centerpieces as well! It was made with wooden flowers! Love love loved it! I will share company in the decorations section!
Next, makeup! I originally wanted someone to do my own makeup however after the trial I had with her (so was super sweet) I didn’t really like it! So I ended up doing it myself! Which saved my a lot of money! Should I post what makeup products I used?
This was probably my favorite thing about the wedding day (oh, besides getting married to my best friend). Our vendor was Hy-Vee! A grocery store chain and absolutely got blessed with Karen, who had been doing flowers for 30+ years! All I had her do was mine and the bridesmaids bouquets, just somewhere to save money! However, Hy-Vee was already reasonably priced so I scored there! I added the ribbon myself to add a pop of more color! Now take a look at these beauties <3
I wanted our decorations to be simple since our venue was already so beautiful! I did a lot of research on renting vs buying decorations and HANDS DOWN best thing I ever did. WE SAVED SO MUCH MONEY RENTING DECORATIONS! I found a local company who rented centerpieces $10 a table -yup! That’s right only $10 a table! AND the coolest part is that the centerpieces were made out of wood! So Minnesota, right! They were amazing! The company is called Wooden Blooms! She also made the flower girl rings! Which were adorable!
I also used a company called Vanilla & Gold to rent vintage vases, candle holders and table numbers for the tables!
My dad made a wood arch and me and my sister-in-law decorated it!
Again, we just wanted simple! We got a cake and cupcakes from Hy-Vee. Affordable and delicious! We chose a pasta buffet which was amazing! Everyone loves pasta and CARBS! 🙂
Look how gorgeous!
Well that’s a wrap! I’m sure I missed a couple things but if you have any questions or need advice please ask! I’d love to hear about your wedding day <3 xoxo
